Chocolate Mint Mocha Shake

Chocolate is a superfood because raw cacao has been shown to make our brains happier through the release of phenylethylamine (PEA.) A heightened awareness and sharp mental focus are just two of the benefits of PEA. Combined with the additional brain-power boost of coffee, creaminess of the feel-good maca and the immunity boost of mint makes for the perfect pick-me-up drink!

(makes 1 serving)

INGREDIENTS:

1 cup hot plant milk (we like using oat milk)

1/4 cup strong coffee (heated)

1 date or 2-3 drops stevia sweetener

1 Tbsp cacao powder

1 tsp maca powder

1 -2 drops mint extract

 

TOPPINGS:

1/3 cup whipped coconut cream (or use any vegan whipped "cream")

1 Remedy Bar diced into small pieces (your choice of flavors)

1 - 2 mint leaves

DIRECTIONS:

1. Place the hot plant milk, coffee, cacao, maca and mint extract in a blender and process until creamy and well mixed - about 30 seconds.

2. Place the diced chocolate pieces in a large mug and pour the latte mixture over the chocolate Remedy Bar pieces.

3. Stir gently to melt and mix the chocolate, top with the whipped cream and mint leaves. Sit back and take a moment to just enjoy the start of your new day!
